Cool The different kinds of melee R/W... BATTLE!

It seems as though there are a bunch of different formats for creating a melee R/W, and I think it would be a good idea to create a thread about it. In my opinion, the format that follows is the most balanced and best suited for ass kicking in most situations:

Apply Poison, 3 attack skills, tiger's fury, whirling defence, troll unguent, rez signet
Stats shouldnt be a problem.

Apply poison goes without saying, along with tf and rez signet. I use 1 evasion because it is 1)extremely worthy of a slot and extremely helpful when im getting seriously beat on by some other warrior/ranger type, and 2)I dont think that more than 1 evasion is necessary unless you are planning on being a stance tank. 3 attacks really ought to be enough in my opinion, there are definately attacks that recharge often enough, and pack enough power, like a favorite of mine, cleave [E]. Troll unguent is there because there isnt always a monk there, and even when there is, they appreciate it when someone can handle their own healing for at least a little while. I suppose you could say this format is a meld between a whole bunch of different types of R/W.

Anyone care to offer a different format and its pros and cons?

I'd say thats a very solid layout for CA PvP. in TA or higher you can just about drop most, if not all the defense.

I like the build, but I would prefer 1 more stance, 2 attacks is enough. Dryder's could work. The problem is you don't have as much armor as a Warrior thats why you need 2 stances. You can take Cleave [E], just like you said and another axe skill ( I would prefer one that causes a deep wound).

So far, Ranger Hammer annoys me the most. They have terrible defense and self heal but if they have a monk beside him, Hammer Ranger is actually more annoying than Warrior Hammer IMO.

First of all, they spam Irresistable Blow like no tomorrow. It totally sucks if I have Whirling Defense on (which I believe most Rangers have). I'll keep getting knock downed.

Then most Hammer Ranger brings Wild Blow. Ouch.

Then most Hammer Ranger can spam Tiger Fury way more often than Warriors.

Some would even bring Distracting Blow. All these skills are energy-based which benefit Rangers a lot more than Warriors.

I find them quite annoying.... of course they have worse defense than warrior but like I've said, if they have a monk backing them up, they can be more annoying than warrior hammer.
